Pulse of Energy [P.O.E]
1. Purpose
P.O.E is committed to protecting the health and safety of its employees, contractors, and all stakeholders, while safeguarding the environment. This Policy establishes a structured approach to managing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) aspects in compliance with applicable legal requirements and recognized industry best practices.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to all activities, operations, projects, employees, contractors, suppliers, and visitors across all locations under the control or management of Pulse of Energy.
3. HSE Commitment
P.O.E adopts a Zero Harm philosophy and is committed to preventing incidents, injuries, occupational illnesses, and environmental damage through:
- Full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
- Proactive identification and management of risks.
- Continuous improvement of HSE performance.
4. Environmental Management
Environmental aspects associated with company activities are managed through
- Conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) periodically and whenever changes occur in the scope of work or activities.
- Identifying significant environmental aspects and implementing effective control measures to minimize adverse impacts.
- Monitoring environmental performance and promoting sustainable practices, pollution prevention, and efficient use of resources.
5. Risk Assessment & Control
P.O.E applies a systematic risk management process that includes:
- Identification and evaluation of hazards associated with all activities.
- Assessment of risks based on severity and likelihood.
- Implementation of control measures in accordance with the hierarchy of controls, including elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment.
- Periodic review of risk assessments and updates following any operational or scope changes.
6. Roles & Responsibilities
- Top Management: Provide leadership, resources, and oversight to ensure effective implementation of this Policy.
- HSE Function: Develop, implement, and monitor HSE procedures, programs, and performance.
- Project Management and Supervisors: Ensure compliance with HSE requirements at project and site levels.
- All Employees and Contractors: Comply with HSE requirements, follow safe work practices, and report hazards, incidents, and near misses.
7. Training & Awareness
P.O.E ensures that all personnel receive appropriate HSE training and awareness to perform their duties safely and responsibly.
8. Emergency Preparedness & Response
Emergency response plans are established, maintained, and periodically tested to ensure effective preparedness and timely response to potential emergency situations, protecting people, assets, and the environment.
9. Review & Continuous Improvement
This Policy is reviewed periodically to ensure its continued suitability, effectiveness, and alignment with the company’s operations and strategic objectives, supporting continuous improvement in HSE performance.
